Set Up Your Meevee Dial

You set up the Dial from the Meevee app on your phone. The phone talks to the Dial over Bluetooth, pairs it to your family, and gives it your Wi-Fi.

Set it up

  1. Charge the Dial and switch it on. A new Dial starts on its setup screen, with a QR code.
  2. In the Meevee app, open the Dial tab and tap Pair a Dial.
  3. Scan the QR code on the Dial’s screen, or let the app find the Dial over Bluetooth. Your phone may ask to pair with “Meevee Dial”. That’s expected: allow it.
  4. Pick your home Wi-Fi from the list the Dial finds, or tap Type another network. Enter the password and tap Send to dial.
  5. When the app says Done. Your dial is on Wi-Fi and ready., you’re set.

Your Wi-Fi password goes from your phone to the Dial and stays on the Dial.

If something goes wrong

  • “That password did not work”: check the password and send it again.
  • “The dial cannot see that network”: move the Dial closer to the router. The Dial joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only; most routers offer it alongside 5 GHz.
  • “Lost the dial”: make sure the Dial is still showing its setup screen, then try again.
  • The Dial is already paired to another family: press the Dial within 30 seconds when the app asks, to accept the new family.

Manage your Dial

On the Dial tab you can:

  • choose which kids the Dial starts sessions for,
  • rename the Dial,
  • lock channels for a kid, so they settle on one show,
  • unpair the Dial, or pair another one.

New Wi-Fi or a reset

When no session is running, hold the Dial down for about 4 seconds to open its menu. Choose new wi-fi? to set it up on a different network, or factory reset? to wipe it and remove it from your family.
