How we
use AI

Meevee matches your child to what helps them learn

Meevee uses AI to match each child to videos and activities that help them reach their learning goals. That matching runs on our servers, as part of the Meevee service, each time a session begins.

Meevee is a subscription for families with children aged 2 to 6. Fourteen days free, then monthly or yearly, cancel anytime. One membership covers every device: iPhone, iPad, Android, Apple TV, and any browser at meevee.app.

Nothing starts on its own. A grown-up opens the app and sets the length, from five minutes to an hour. The session is then put together and streamed from our servers. When it ends, Mookee says goodbye and the app closes until a grown-up opens it again.

People choose the shows.
AI builds the session.

How a session gets built

People first. Every show on Meevee is licensed and reviewed by our team against early childhood research: pacing, how characters behave, whether the story closes. Nothing enters the catalog automatically, and there is nowhere for a child to browse out to.

Then the matching, from three things. Age sets what is suitable at all. Interests are the things your child is into, from their profile. Milestones are the learning goals a session is built around: counting, letters, colors, feelings, sharing, wherever your child is with them.

AI does that part. It reads your child's interests and learning goals against what each show and each game actually teaches, and assembles a session of videos and activities that moves them along. This runs on our servers, as part of the Meevee service, each time a session begins.

What comes back is finite. A set of episodes and activities in a sensible order, with a beginning, a middle and an end.

Mookee's voice

Mookee greets your child by name, says what is coming next, gives fair warning before the end, and walks them through the goodbye. AI writes those moments for the session and speaks them in Mookee's voice, which is why he can use your child's name and mention the show they just watched instead of playing the same clip to every child. Between videos he runs short learning games, matched to the same learning goals as the videos around them.

He is not a chatbot. He speaks at points in the session that we designed, and there is nothing your child can ask him to do or make.

What AI does here, and what it does not

Where What AI does What it does not do
Choosing the shows Nothing. Our team licenses every show and reviews it against early childhood research. AI never adds a show to the catalog, and it never makes one.
Building a session Matches your child's age, interests and learning goals against what each show and game teaches, then builds a session of videos and activities. It is not a feed. A session is finite, and it does not learn to keep your child watching.
What your child has watched Used so a session does not repeat what they saw yesterday. Not used to build a picture of your child, or to decide what to show more of.
Mookee's words Writes and speaks his welcome, the introductions, the warning before the end, and the goodbye. He is not a chatbot. Your child cannot ask him for anything.
Talking to a person Parents can chat with an assistant about session lengths, watching, and hard goodbyes. That sits behind the parent gate. Children do not have it.
Advertising Nothing. There are no ads on Meevee. No profiling for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

What you set

The profile is yours. Your child's age, the things they are into, the milestones you want to work on: change those and the sessions change with them. You also set how long each session runs, every time you start one. Full details are in our Privacy Statement, and the FAQ answers the questions we get most.
